COME OUT WITH PRIDE™ 2008 – OCTOBER 12, 2008

COME OUT WITH PRIDE™ 2008 will be held on October 12, 2008.  As the planning continues we will continue to add events and announcements.  Check back regularly to find out about this exciting event!

 Don’t miss the largest GLBT-organized event in Orlando and Central Florida! From a festive parade and entertainment to exhibits and vendors, the weekend-long Come Out with Pride festivities are a testament to the strength and vitality of the Central Florida GLBT community.

 In response to the community's embrace of the event for the last two years, the main festivities for Come Out With Pride 2007 were held at Lake Eola Park in downtown Orlando. An estimated 30,000 supporters were in attendance, the event was packed with bigger thrills, including a longer parade route encircling Lake Eola Park and larger areas for vendors / exhibitors and other festivities. In addition, the entertainment program was significantly enhanced and was staged throughout the day at the newly renovated Walt Disney Amphitheatre.

More About Come Out With Pride
Come Out with Pride is a cooperative effort of The Metropolitan Business Association (Central Florida’s GLBT chamber of commerce), The Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual Student Union at the University of Central Florida (GLBSU), and other community-minded groups and individuals.

In addition to serving as Central Florida’s largest GLBT Pride parade and festival, Come Out with Pride also celebrates National Coming Out Day (October 11th) and the month of October as Gay & Lesbian History Month.

University of Central Florida – Gay Lesbian Bisexual Student Union Scholarship Fund
Come Out With Pride Orlando has established an annual $1,000 scholarship for a full-time GLBT student at UCF. For more information on eligibility and process, please email info@MBAOrlando.org
