MBA Orlando is committed to delivering the highest level of benefits to our members.  Whether you are a long standing business in the community, have just started a business or are considering starting a business, we want to help you by providing the tools you need to succeed.

If you are interested in certifying, not only as an LGBT Owned Business, but potentially as a Minority Owned Business Enterprise, a Woman Owned Business Enterprise, or a Disability Owned Business Enterprise, click here to view the certifying organizations. 

MBA Orlando will also begin to hold four sessions a year that are specifically targeted to Small Business’s that will provide necessary tools for any business owners. This initiative will branch outside of a LGBT  focused initiative, and will encompass the practical tools for any business to succeed. Future sessions may include topics such as, marketing, accounting, payroll, human resources, outreach, contracting, bidding, startup, and much more. Stay tuned for future dates for these sessions.

Founded in 2003, through the collaborative efforts of Walt Disney World, Orange County Government and The University of Central Florida, this “shared facility” and collaborative approach to small business development has attracted national attention for its financial efficiencies and the ability to leverage the resources and skills of each resident organization.  Additionally, the center provides easy access to these business assistance organizations for local entrepreneurs.

Designed to guide you through the steps necessary for starting a business. It covers the different legal business entities, licenses needed, taxes and insurance. We explain what business plans are all about and show you how to collect business information and research. You will learn about capital funding and the lenders view of the borrower.

Health Care Reform “Must Knows”

Presented By SCORE – $10.00 Cost

This 2-hour seminar presented by Paychex reviews the new requirements for small businesses resulting from the Affordable Care Act. You will learn how your business can benefit from and stay compliant with the key provisions, such as the small business tax credit, new w-2 reporting, grandfathering, non-discrimination, and the CLASS Act.
